Alvaro Ibarra

Musician convinced of the profound impact of art and culture on society and their ability to give meaning to our lives. Graduated from the Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey in the specialty of guitar. Study the Master of Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England (2021-2023); recipient of the Guildhall School Financial Award, CONACYT-CULTURA and CONARTE scholarships. Student of Cultural Management at the International University of La Rioja.


Promoter of early music, he has exhibited his work within the ensemble "Lachrimae" (2017-2019) with various presentations and invitations to local and national festivals, as well as participations on radio and television (Radio Libertad 102.1; Opus Tv). Co-founder and organizer of the "Exhibition of Early Music "La Superior" (2019). Stands out in this area, being a beneficiary as Artistic Director of the Fiscal Incentive for Artistic Creation (2021) by CONARTE to develop the production "Sones de la Nueva España".


He has participated as a concert performer within the framework of the Early Music Festival "La Festa Antiqua" (2021 and 2020) and the Monterrey XVI International Guitar Festival (2015). Likewise, it has been presented at various festivals such as the San Pedro Artefest (2018) and the Santa Lucía X Festival (2018). In addition, he has taken master classes with important guitar personalities such as Judicaël Perroy, Natalia Lipnitskaya, Gabriel Bianco and Andrea González.


As part of his continuous training, he has received orientation in musical direction in the 6th Orchestral Conducting Course at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (2019), graduating in Leadership (2022) from Marconi International University, as well as in the creation and management of cultural projects in courses and seminars of CENART and CONARTE (2020).
